Octopus Digital Signage is a technology company building end-to-end digital screen management solutions for retail, enterprise and public spaces. We build large-scale systems running on a cloud-based CMS, Android / Windows / Linux / Tizen players and a microservice architecture.
We're looking for a Test Engineer to take our product quality to the next level — someone who can run manual tests in the field and, over time, contribute to test automation.
Role & responsibilities
- Run manual functional tests for web (CMS), mobile and desktop applications
- Carry out field tests on physical devices (Android boxes, screens, player devices)
- Prepare test scenarios, test cases and bug reports
- Track issues found together with the developer teams
- Over time: start writing automation tests (UI / API)
- Contribute to standardising test processes
- Support setting up regression test flows
The profile we're looking for
- Basic knowledge of manual testing processes
- Familiar with the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Values bug tracking and test documentation
- Open to learning, curious and growth-focused
- Enjoys researching technical topics
- Strong in-team communication
Nice to have:
- Interest in test automation (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of API testing (Postman, etc.)
- Has touched JavaScript / TypeScript / any scripting language
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts
