Octopus Teknoloji Dijital Çözümleri A.Ş. (the “Company”) uses various cookies on its website. As a company, we take the utmost care to process the personal data of our website’s visitors and users in accordance with Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”) and related legislation. This Cookie & Privacy Policy explains the types of cookies obtained when our site is visited and the purposes for which they are used.
What is a cookie?
Cookies are small text files, mostly made up of letters and numbers, that are stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website and that allow the device to be recognized.
What personal data do we process through cookies?
Through cookies we process your usage and visit habits on the site, your session information, your past activity and your browsing data. We process this personal data — collected through log files, empty gif files and/or third-party sources — in accordance with the KVKK and limited to the purposes set out below:
- To provide a better service to our visitors, your browsing data is processed, shared with third parties only for this purpose, and stored securely.
- To build a summary of your preferences, your past activity is stored.
- Functional and analytical cookies are used to analyse how the site is used and to improve your experience.
Which types of cookies do we use?
We use both first-party cookies (placed directly by us) and third-party cookies on our website. Cookies are also grouped by their duration and purpose:
Session cookies
Temporary cookies that remain until you close your browser; they are deleted when you leave the site.
Persistent cookies
Cookies that remain on your device until they expire or you delete them, used to recognise you on return visits and remember your preferences.
Mandatory / technical cookies
Required for the site to function properly; without them parts of the site cannot be delivered.
Analytical and functional cookies
Used to measure site performance, understand how visitors use the site and improve the experience.
How can you control cookies?
You can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit some features of the site. Most browsers let you block cookies, delete existing ones, or warn you before a cookie is stored.
Octopus connector for Claude
You can connect your Octopus account to Claude, the AI assistant made by Anthropic, through our connector at mcp.octoservice.net. To connect, you sign in to Octopus and approve the permissions the connection may use: reading your account, changing screen content, opening support tickets and sending dispatches. The connector acts only within the permissions you approved and your own Octopus user permissions.
Data the connector accesses
Information about your organizations, screens, programs, media folders, locations, support tickets and dispatches, and your user and customer identifiers. Support tickets include the name and e-mail address of the user who opened the ticket, so tickets opened by other users of your account can be part of what is read. This data is read only when Claude uses one of the connector’s tools in response to your request. The connector does not read the contents of your media files.
Data the connector stores
The connector does not store data of its own and does not collect your conversations with Claude. Actions you ask Claude to take, such as opening a support ticket or changing the program on a screen, are recorded in your Octopus account in the same way as changes made in the Octopus panel. Data returned to Claude is processed by Anthropic under Anthropic’s own privacy policy.
Your control
You can end the connection at any time by removing the connector in Claude, which deletes the access Claude holds. Access already issued to Claude expires on its own; if you need the connection ended sooner, write to us at hello@octopussignage.com. Requests about your personal data can be sent to the same address, as described below.
Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, request information, learn the purpose of processing, request correction or deletion, and object to results arising from automated analysis.
