Thanks to Octopus, our platform that aims to eliminate the two most fundamental problems of the “digital signage” category — the need for industrial screens and the challenge of content creation — we're happy to announce our new product that will enable NFT works. It will be brought to physical life at Contemporary Istanbul in collaboration with Firat Neziroglu.
Works certified with NFT (non-fungible token) blockchain technology, and the great interest Gen Z shows in them, have become one of the most important trends of recent years.
With the special project we carried out with Firat Neziroglu for the first time at Contemporary Istanbul, we brought to life a brand-new business model in the category of “updatable artworks” and NFTs. Firat Neziroglu's work titled “Futuristic Prince” was carried into the digital art category through the Octopus platform.
In a very short time, we managed to add major retail brands to our portfolio with our digital signage products in the UK, Italy, Germany, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria and Romania. The technology we developed — particularly for the content and measurement management issues industrial screens face — quickly let us differentiate from our competitors in Europe and scale. Today, by bringing Firat Neziroglu's Anatolian-inspired weaving works onto our screens, we created the “updatable artwork” category in the art world. The special collaborations we're doing with new artists around the world already excite us.
At Contemporary Istanbul, the first international art event held in Türkiye after the pandemic restrictions, the work titled “Futuristic Prince,” created in collaboration between Octopus and Firat Neziroglu, became the event's most expensive work at a price of $60,000.
